Former NASCAR Southwest Tour driver, founder of NASA's Pacific Coast Touring Car Championship and co-founder of the American Stockcar Challenge Doug Davis is going in Thursday for surgery.
Miguel Caparros, of NASA, said "As near as I can understand it, Davis has a fuel pump that flows too much fuel! So the doctors are going in and put in ab restrictor plate to slow him down some. But as you all know the driver of #29 will not be slowed for long. We were already making plans for what he will be working on while he lollygags at home recouping."
Trish Davis, NASA's own emergency trauma nurse and Davis' better looking half told Caparros, "Although it is a delicate operation he is strong and should be back on his feet soon."
Caparros is encouring all to share with him in sending prayers and good wishes to Davis for a fast recovery. Caparros will be at San Francisco General during Davis' recovery. Anyone interested in supporting Davis is invited to join Caparros there.
