
Jan’s Towing Bandoleros Race #1 and #2
Blake Dunkleberger of Simi Valley and division championship points leader Ryan Cansdale of Laguna Beach each captured victories in the Jan’s Towing Bandoleros feature race twin bill at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Cansdale won the first race on Friday with Dunkleberger finishing second while Dunkleberger won Saturday’s race with Cansdale finishing runner-up. Cansdale who is a rookie notched his 8th of the season while Dunkleberger scored his first victory of the season.
Justice Brothers Mini Stocks
Division championship points leader Daryl Scoggins of Sunland broke free from a battle for the lead with Jacob Rogers of Riverside on lap 17 and went on to win the Justice Brothers Mini Stock 35-lap feature race Saturday night (August 29) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Scoggins win was his 5th of the season. Rogers finished second in the race while Kevin Bernhardt of Fontana finished third.
Langers Juice S2
Randel King of Riverside won the Langers Juice S2 25-lap feature race Saturday night (August 29) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. King’s victory was his third of the season in four races. Andrew Anderson of Lancaster finished second and Kyle Longmore of Camarillo finished third.
Vista Paint Super Stocks
Rich DeLong III of Santa Clarita won the Vista Paint Super Stock 30-lap feature race Saturday night (August 29) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was DeLong’s second of the season. Division championship points leader Larry Cerquettini of Redlands finished second and Eric Sunness of Chatsworth finished third.
ACDelco Super Late Model Twin Races #1 and #2
Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills swept the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model twin 40-lap feature races at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale. Joanides earned his 12th and 13th victories of the season and his 19th consecutive top-three finish. Rip Michels of San Fernando finished second in both races. With the victories, Joanides unofficially clinched the NASCAR Whelen All-American California State Championship. Danny Gay of Lakeside finished third in the first race while Bear Rzesnowiecky of Las Vegas, NV finished third in the second race.
Train Race
The team of Richard “Flipper” Walker and Dave Baers won Saturday night’s (August 29) Train race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.
