
BAKERSFIELD, California — This Saturday, September 5th is the third and final round of the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Holiday Classic Series at Madera Speedway featuring the “The Performance Electrical 130”.
The SRL will be part of an open practice from 2:30pm to 7:30pm on Friday, September 4th. Racing on Saturday, begins at 6:00pm, featuring the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series “Performance Electrical 130”, NASCAR Western Late Models, ALSC, Toyotas, Hornets, and MST.
After six of ten SPEARS Southwest Tour Series events, M.K. Kanke leads the SRL championship with 295 points entering Saturday’s event. Greg Voigt, who is coming off his win at Stockton 99 Speedway, is second with 267, Jim Pettit II is third with 221, rookie Kevin Callahan is fourth with 218, Troy Ermish 213, Dave Byrd 203, Josh Combs 201, Raudman 198, Todd Bammer 182, rounding out the top ten in the point standings is Brennan Newberry at 171 points. These point totals do not factor in the one race that a driver can drop for his 2009 points total.
NOTES OF INTEREST
- Winner’s share of the prize money will be $4,000, which includes the Rub It Graphics Bonus.
- Nineteen drivers are currently on the “Winner’s Circle Program” and will be eligible for the $600 minimum pay out at the “Performance Electrical 130”.
- Defending series champion Jim Pettit II of Prunedale, CA will once again be driving a Moeller Bros. Chevrolet owned by Quentin Bammer.
- 2007 SRL Victory Circle Rookie-of-the-Year, Bryan Herzog from Clovis, CA will be making his 2009 Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series debut this weekend.
- A delayed web cast of the entire “Performance Electrical 130” will be featured on www.golivestream.tv, followed by a highlight web cast of the event on www.rpmtvonline.com.
