ELMA, Washington — Persistent showers and rain throughout the day on Monday that left the track not raceable have forced the cancellation of the World of Outlaws event at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington originally scheduled for today (September 7). The event will not be rescheduled.
The Gold Rush Tour continues for the World of Outlaws on Tuesday, September 8 at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon, followed by the 56th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California beginning on Thursday, September 10.
Heading into the race at Cottage Grove Speedway on Tuesday, September 8, Donny Schatz holds a 38-point lead over Jason Meyers in the World of Outlaws championship standings, with Joey Saldana third, just 59 markers out of the top spot, with Steve Kinser fourth and Jason Sides fifth.
