BOISE, Idaho — Craig Bell out of Kuna, Idaho and driver of the BodyBuilding.Com/Minegar Racing Chevrolet will close out his 2009 racing schedule this Saturday night in Twin falls, Idaho at Magic Valley Speedway in the MVS “100” as the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series pulls the curtain on their sixth campaign. Bell has never won at Magic Valley but is on a hot streak after winning in the last series event two weeks ago.
"Racing at Magic Valley is really cool"— Craig Bell
Bell will make his 50th career start (second all-time) in the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series on Saturday night in his sixth year on the tour. Also adding to his career accomplishments in the series are 32 top five finishes (1st all-time), 40 top ten finishes (tied for first all-time), he is 3rd all-time in laps led, and first all-time in laps completed. One missing stat is a win at Magic Valley Speedway.
“Racing at Magic Valley is really cool,” Bell said. “There is not a lot of middle ground there. You are either fast or you struggle. We have been fast at times but faded at the end and we have worked hard to finish strong this time around.”
Bell’s best finish at the third-mile paved oval is second (twice) but he does have eleven top five finishes to his credit in past competition. “For years, Magic Valley is the place where all of us Idaho racers have wanted to win,” Bell stated. “There has always been a lot of prestige to winning there and I would like to close out the season with the Bodybuilding.Com Chevrolet in victory lane.”
Bell is currently third in the series standings on the strength of two wins and six top five performances this season. He sits 158-points behind point leader John Dillon and is 116 points behind second place. “The championship has really come down to John (Dillon) and Jeff (Jefferson) but anything can happen so we are just going to our best to fight for the win and see how it all shakes out. It has been a great season for the team and no matter what happens we will be happy at the end of the night.”
Minegar Racing is sponsored by BodyBuilding.com, Redline, Ultimate Nutrition, Supreme Nutrition, Muscletech, SciFit, Gaspari Nutrition, A-1 Heating and Air Conditioning, and Dillon Auto Craft.
