2-Time Defending World Champion Jeremy Stenberg faces 4-Time World Champion Nate Adams

LOS ANGELES (September 16, 2009) – During the final weekend of the L.A. County Fair the best men of freestyle motocross will return to Fairplex in Pomona for the seventh consecutive year for the ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross (FMX). On Saturday, October 3rd, starting at 7:30 p.m., Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg (Santee, CA), the 2-time defending FMX World Champion, will take on 4-time FMX World Champion Nate “The Destroyer” Adams (Glendale, AZ), as well as Adam Jones (Warrendale, PA), Mike Mason (Minden, NV) and more of the planet’s top pros for the title of 2009 ASA World Champion of Freestyle Motocross.

In 2008, Twitch seemed destined to repeat as champion, especially with the event’s former 4-time winner, Adams, not able to compete due to injury. Twitch in fact did ride away with the title and immediately vowed to three-peat in 2009. On October 3, however, he’ll not only face the world’s top seven FMX tricksters, but also battle a healthy Adams who is determined to reclaim his status as the top man. This one-night event promises to be filled with head-to-head, full-throttle excitement that is sure to shock and awe fans with its spectacle.

“This is the one event I most look forward to competing in each year,” said Stenberg. “The course is always great, the stands are packed and it’s really close to where a bunch of us live. I’m looking forward to riding against Nate and all the other top pros to get my three-peat!”

Box and reserved seating tickets for the 2009 ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross are available at the Fairplex Box Office, via all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 800 745 3000 to charge them by phone. Tickets are $19.50 for reserved seats and $22.00 for box seats. Fair admission is separate and must be acquired.

As an ASA Entertainment production, the ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross will enjoy an hour-long network television feature on CBS Sports, on Sunday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m. ET, following NFL football. Viewers should consult their local listings for more details in their area.
