SONOMA, Calif. (April 13, 2001) - The X-Factor, a new line of pre-paid cellular phone products, will become the title sponsor of the July 22 American Le Mans Series sports car race at Sears Point Raceway. The event will be known as The X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma.

The race sponsorship coincides with the summer release of the new product in the Northern California market.

The X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma will be the third race of the 2001 American Le Mans Series season and will be televised live on NBC Sports, with highlights to be shown July 29 on Eurosport. The series, founded in 1999 by entrepreneur Don Panoz, features many of the same cars and drivers that compete in the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.

CT Industries, the telecommunications subsidiary of The Auxer Group, Inc. (OTCBB: AXGI - News), recently began an aggressive campaign to promote its new line of calling cards, known as The X-Factor, and its own line of prepaid cell phones. The products are designed for America's Generation X, which accounts for more than 32 million people who spend more than $150 billion per year.

"The X-Factor is going to be the new wave of telecommunications," said Ronald Shaver, Executive Vice-President of The Auxer Group, Inc. "The prepaid cell phone industry is rapidly expanding and becoming widely accepted among the Generation X-ers who will be our target market. By aligning ourselves with the American Le Mans Series, it shows our commitment to being recognized as a major player in the telecommunications arena."

"The X-Factor's new product line is a perfect fit for the fans of the American Le Mans Series," said Bill Donaldson, Executive Director of the ALMS. "The events for our series at Sears Point Raceway have been among the most successful in the two-year history of the series, and the additional marketing and promotional clout that The X-Factor will bring to the table with its product launch will only help to build on that success."

The Auxer Group, Inc., located in West Paterson, N.J., is a holding company divided into three major groups. The recently-formed Telecom Group consists of Auxer Telecom, Inc., a telecommunications service provider headquartered in Los Angeles, and Clifton Telecard, Inc., and CT Industries, Inc., wholesale distributors of telecom products.
