NIGHT OF FIRE PROMISES TO BE A HOT NIGHT OF RACING

Salt Lake City, Utah -- Rocky Mountain Raceways is set to host an explosive night of drag racing with their annual Night of Fire Jet Car Show on Saturday, September 26.

Fourteen jet cars from all over North America will converge on the Salt Lake Valley for this drag racing event. These are some of the loudest and fastest cars burning rubber on Rocky Mountain Raceways drag strip.

Crowd favorites, Brad and Heather Janishewski will return with their jet cars, Rollin Thunder and Her A Cane.

"This is going to be one of the largest jet car races in North America,"

said Brad Janishewski, a resident of Canada.

Other jet cars expected to appear include War Wagon Half Track, Secret Weapon Tank, Gravity Storm, Volcano, The Beast, Rocky Mountain Thunder, Thunder Struck, Earth Flight, California Smokey, Terminal Velocity, Silver Fox and a new jet car from Oregon.

"We are expecting great runs from all of the jet cars. This cooler air at the end of the year makes the jet cars run great," said Janishewski.

"The weather is going to be perfect for record-breaking passes. We are expecting an awesome show that will be fun for the fans and the drivers," said Ron Craft, Drag Racing Manager for Rocky Mountain Raceways.

Feature cars that will be running at the Night of Fire include fourteen jet cars, the Wheelstanding Jelly Belly Stagecoach, Jack Harris's Nitro Funny Car, a Top Alcohol Dragster and Joe Timmons on his Nitro Harley.

Rocky Mountain Raceway classes that will also be running during the Night of Fire include Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Motorcycle/Snowmobile and Junior Dragsters by invitation.

"We will be crowing a champion for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman," said Craft.

The Teen Championship Racing class will also be running during the Night of Fire. TCR is the newest class to compete at Rocky Mountain Raceways.

13 to 17 year old drivers will be competing in the 1/8 mile with full size vehicles.

Gates for the Night of Fire open at noon. Racing begins at 6pm. Feature cars will run at 6pm and 9pm. Adult Admission is $20 and youth admission

(5-12) is $10.

In addition to drag racing, Rocky Mountain Raceways hosts oval racing, motocross, monster trucks and drifting.
