
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida — NASCAR announced today that Robert Dixon, the crew chief for the No. 34 team that competes in the NASCAR Camping World Series West, has been penalized as a result of rules violations committed Saturday, Sept. 26 at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.
Dixon was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-I (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used do not conform to NASCAR rules); and Section 20C-12.1A (front coil springs must be constructed with a minimum wire diameter of .575 inch; spring wire diameter was less than specified size). The violations were discovered during post-race inspection on Sept. 26.
As a result, Dixon has been fined $500 and suspended from NASCAR until the fine is paid.
