BRASELTON, Georgia — Brian Wong, of Newport Beach, CA, continued his impressive string of 1st place finishes, sweeping rounds eleven and twelve of the IMSA Patron GT3 Gold Cup class at Petit Le Mans. Wong has now won 7 straight races, 8 of 10 he has appeared this season. Starting in the second position in Round Eleven, Wong battled points leader Melanie Snow for the lead throughout the race and was able to make a successful pass for the lead in the final minutes of the race, finally taking the checkered flag. Wong started Round Twelve on the pole and held the first place position for the entire thirty-minute race, fending off a late charge by Snow, despite a damaged quarter panel hampering his speed. Brian Wong finished the weekend by taking 1st place in both rounds in the Gold Cup Class at Road Atlanta.
This is the third weekend in a row that Wong has swept in the Patron GT3 Gold Cup class, with his seventh straight 1st place finish in the #89 Quiksilver/Northeastern University Porsche GT3 Cup car.
