MOORESVILLE, North — Carolina -- 24 year-old Kyle Cattanach will return to the West Coast to drive the Superior Crankshaft Chevy in the “I-5 Tire Company 125” at Shasta Raceway Park this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Cattanach will be in action in a #59 Chevrolet crewed by Ryan Philpott and Philpott Race Cars. Pepperjack Kennels and Shell Fast Track are also major sponsors of the effort.
The former two-time Shasta Raceway Park champion is making his first California start since his fourth place effort at Altamont Raceway Park in the NASCAR Camping World Series West in September 2007.
In 2008, Cattanach piloted a Spraker Racing Enterprises Chevy in the NASCAR Camping World Series East to a top-20 at Greenville and a top-10 at Mansfield. Cattanach serves as a car chief within Spraker Racing Enterprises.
Superior Crankshaft’s CEO Cheryl Archer is actively involved in the racing community and is a member of the WAM (Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports).

Action gets underway on Friday with open practice. Qualifying and qualifying heats will take place Saturday, and the 125 lap feature for the Super Late Models will be on Sunday afternoon.
