
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Midnight Mayhem Presented By MetroPCS is The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's safe alternative to illegal street racing. The Strip at LVMS will present another edition of the popular Midnight Mayhem series Friday night at 7 p.m.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Tech inspection will take place from 6-10 p.m., with racing from 7 p.m.-midnight. Staging lanes will close at 11:20 p.m.
Now in its eighth year, Midnight Mayhem Presented By MetroPCS is open to any licensed driver with proof of insurance and any street-legal car or motorcycle.
Hot 97.5, KVEG-FM (www.kvegas.com) is the official radio partner of Midnight Mayhem for the second half of the 2009 season. Hot 97.5 will be giving away 500 free tickets to every remaining Midnight Mayhem event in 2009. Listen to Hot 97.5 for details.
Minors must present a signed parental consent form, which may be obtained by calling The Strip's office at (702) 632-8213.
The popular late-night program is open to any street-legal car or motorcycle. All vehicles must undergo technical and safety inspections before they are allowed to race on LVMS' quarter-mile drag strip.
Alcohol is not allowed and beer is not sold at the track during Midnight Mayhem.
Entry fee is $10 to race and $6 admission for spectators. Ride-along passes and restricted-area passes are $10.
