
Dallas Colodny, 20, of Reno, Nevada, a Broadcast Journalism major at University of Nevada, clinched the 2009 NASCAR Auto Club Late Model Rookie of the Year title Saturday night at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, after leading the Rookie of the Year point’s Championship from race one to 18, of the season. Colodny also finished 5th in the final NASCAR Auto Club Late Model point standings joining his teammate and High Point Racing team owner Tim Huddleston in the top five.

Colodny started off the year strong with a fourth place finish in his first ever Late Model race and never looked back, racking up a total of nine top fives and 13 top ten’s. Colodny also finished all 18 races but one, on the lead lap.
