M K Kanke powered his No. 98 Community Recycling Southwest Tour car to Victory Lane in the Food4Less 150 at the Irwindale Speedway. Following Kanke to the stripe was Bud Pole winner Craig Raudman and Scott Lynch. Darrell LaMoure made an impressive run from a provisional 28th place starting position to finish fourth.
Raudman was strong, throughout the night, but halfway through the event Kanke started showing some muscle of his own, knocking on his bumper and the battle was won by Kanke as he seized the lead and went on to win by .0373 seconds.
The first yellow of the night was brought out by contact between two cars. Other than that incident and a few miscellaneous spins the race went without incident as the two veterans raced for the checkers.
