CONCORD, North — Carolina – MacDonald Motorsports announced today that Kevin Hamlin will return behind the wheel of the No. 81 D.H. Griffin Dodge for the Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Hamlin has 10 NASCAR Nationwide starts in the 2009 season including four starts for MacDonald Motorsports.

Team owner Randy MacDonald has high expectations for the race at Lowe’s. “We’re looking forward to having Kevin behind the wheel this weekend, and hope to continue the momentum gained last weekend in Fontana,” the owner said, referring to the team’s 13th place finish in Saturday’s Nationwide Series Race at Auto Club Speedway.

Hamlin who has two previous starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway was behind the wheel of the MacDonald Motorsports Dodge for the track’s first

Nationwide Series race this season when a tire went down on the No. 81 Dodge, causing body and brake damage. While the crew attempted to repair the damage and replace the brake rotor the race was red flagged then called short due to rain before the team was able to return to the track.

The MacDonald Motorsports Dodge will again carry the D.H. Griffin Companies logo. The company provides services in demolition, dismantlement

and erecting, hazardous materials removal, infrastructure, site development, grading and site preparation, used process equipment, new

construction and brownfields site redevelopment. Notably, they were chosen as the lead demolition consultant for the cleanup at the World Trade Center following the 9/11 disaster. D.H. Griffin Companies has been providing services to the construction industry for over 50 years; they

have office throughout the country including Houston, Texas.

On track events for the Nationwide Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway begins with practice sessions on Thursday from 1:15 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dollar General 300 qualifying will be aired live at 3:00 p.m. Friday on SPEED, and the race will be broadcast beginning at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
