CHOWCHILLA, Ca — The Dominator” Brad Pounds added another win to his total this past weekend at Chowtown Speedway. This makes it 15 wins for 2009. Pounds won the 30 lap Western Modifieds “A” Main Event on Saturday Night at the Chowtown Nationals. He started on the pole with his RMR sponsored Scott Pounds Racing Side Biter and led all 30 laps. Pounds said, “ The track was perfect and we hit the setup right on”. Brad Pounds finished 4th in the Chowtown Big Dollar Shootout on Sunday.You can watch The Shootout on RealFast.TV. The previous weekend Pounds had raced in the Bud Nationals at Bakersfield Speedway. He drove a IMCA and a Dirt Late Model on the second day of racing.
To get into the IMCA Main Event he had to come through the C Main because of a accident in his heat race. Pounds won the C Main, won the B Main, and started 13th in the Main Event. He worked his way through he field and 20 in laps he found himself in second place. Pounds even led for a few seconds as they went by the start finish line but he had to settle for 2nd place. In the Dirt Late Model Race that same day he started 7th on the grid. In four laps he was running 3rd and battling with Steve Drake for second. They dueled back and forth door to door for 25 laps. Pounds finished 3rd.
This is Brad Pounds 120th career win. Pounds started racing at 14 and won his first race 3 races later in the Hobby Stock Division at Bakersfield Speedway. He works full time at Scott Pounds Racing building and maintaining dirt cars.
Pounds is set to race at Bakersfield Speedway this coming weekend.
