Classic Stocks

Ken Michaelian of Lawndale who clinched his first ever Classic Stocks division championship on October 10 concluded an impressive year by winning his 11th Classic Stocks 30-lap feature race of the season Saturday night (October 24) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Tommy Agosta of Chino finished second and also clinched second place in the division standings while Harry Michaelian of Lawndale, Ken’s father, finished third.

Justice Brothers Mini Stocks

Daryl Scoggins of Sunland clinched his first ever Justice Brothers Mini Stocks division championship by winning the Justices Brothers Mini Stocks 35-lap feature race Saturday night (October 24) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was his seventh of the season. Rod Schmitt of Alta Loma finished second and Kevin Bernhardt of Fontana finished third Tyler Rogers of Riverside finished fourth and clinched division runner-up honors.

Vista Paint Super Stocks

Larry Cerquettini of Redlands clinched his first ever Vista Paint Super Stocks division championship by winning the Vista Paint 35-lap Vista Paint Super Stocks 35-lap feature race Saturday night (October 24) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Cerquettini’s ninth of the season. Rich DeLong III of Santa Clarita finished in second place and clinched second place in the division standings. Gary Read of La Verne finished third in the race. Prior to the start of the race, Ken Brown of Cherry Valley was in second place in the division standings but his fifth place finish dropped him to third in the standings.

Drive Tech Late Models

Michael of Zschoche won the Drive Tech Late Model 25-lap exhibition race Saturday night (October 24) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Bradley Lloyd finished second and David Arnold placed third.

King Taco Super Trucks and Southwest Tour Trucks 100-lap feature race

Rod Johnson Jr. of Canyon Country beat Pat Mintey Jr. to the finish line winning the NASCAR King Taco Super Trucks 100-lap feature race and clinched his first division championship at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale. Entering the race Johnson and Mintey of Quartz Hill were tied for the division points lead with Mintey finishing second in the point standings. Mintey was the reigning division champion winning the Super Truck crown in 2008. The race also featured the Southwest Tour Truck series with Dalton Kuhn of San Marcos finishing in first place and winning his first ever division championship. Kuhn won seven of the eight races at TOYOTA Speedway this year.
