DAVE BYRD, Defender — of the fastest qualifying time from one year ago at the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series event, returns to Las Vegas, Nevada for the GOLIVESTREAM.TV 154 at “The Bullring” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
This weekend’s race is the finale for the Stockcar Racing League’s season long schedule, as well as, the final race of a busy month that has seen the “tour” race a wide variety of tracks starting with Stockton, California’s tight ¼ mile, Stockton 99 Speedway, it then included a stop at Irwindale, California’s ½ mile, Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and will now wrap up the month at the always exciting, 3/8 mile, “The Bullring” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The whirlwind month of October has seen the Dave Byrd Racing team have just as wide of a range of results as the tracks on which they have raced, from qualifying up front and leading laps at Stockton to running only 13 laps in Irwindale after suffering a two dollar part failure. Dave’s plan is to roar back into “Vegas” and tame the track that has been labeled “The Bullring” due to the fast paced battles that take place there.
This weekend’s feature event is the tenth race of this year’s ten race schedule and has a reported 31 cars pre-entered. Dave currently sits 8th in the series championship point standings.
“Racing has its ups and downs,” explained Dave “but no matter what, we always have Las Vegas to look forward to at the end of the year,” Dave added with that all too familiar sneeky grin!
