ANTELOPE, California — The 2009 NASCAR Division Touring season has ended and the 2010 season has begun for the teams at Bill McAnally Racing. The teams had many notable successes in 2009:
Eric Holmes, pilot of the No. 20 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry finished the season in second overall in a highly competitive race for the NASCAR Camping World Series Championship title. He had three great wins in the NAPA Toyota at All American Speedway, Madera Speedway and Douglas County Speedway.
Moses Smith was voted by the fans the NASCAR Camping World West Series">NASCAR Camping World West Series Most popular driver two years in a row. He also received the Featherlite Most Improved driver award and finished seventh in the chase for the championship. The pilot of the No. 16 Hasa Pool Products Toyota Camry had his career best finish in 2009 with a second place finish at Thunderhill Raceway, Kyle, Texas.
The 2009 Sunoco Rookie of the year went to BMR’s ‘student driver’ Paulie Harraka. He recorded two wins piloting the No. 12 NAPA AutoCare Toyota Camry and also a Pole Award at All American Speedway. The Duke College sophomore was also awarded the Coca Cola Move of the Race Award at the yearend banquet. Paulie finished in fourth in the chase for the series championship. He is a member of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Initiative and gave them their first and second Touring Series victory.
