Brady Bacon and Triple X Race Co are firing on all cylinders as the Holiday season approaches. Bacon and his Tel-Star Communications #99 XXX has won three straight main events in winged and non-wing 360 action, highlighted by his victory in the non-wing portion of the Western World Championship at USA Raceway in Tuscon, AZ. After picking up the Saturday night $7,000 to win November Sprint Shootout victory at Cowtown Speedway in Texas, Bacon started his Western World weekend with the Friday night preliminary victory, coming from his eighth place starting spot to claim the victory with ease. Bacon's win streak extended into Saturday, as Bacon used his front row starting spot to his advantage, leading all 30 laps of the finale to take the win by almost a full straightaway. Bacon's three straight wins gives him 10 victories in XXX chassis this year, with Midget, non-wing 410 and 360, ASCS 360 and 305 victories all to his name.
Travis Rilat rounded out his 2009 racing season with the Friday night preliminary night victory at Cowtown Speedway's November Sprint Shootout. Rilat came from his eighth place starting spot to claim the victory, his fifth of 2009 and second of the year at the Kennedale, TX located track. Overall, Rilat finished fourth in points on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour with two national victories to his credit including the $10,092 to win Fred Brownfield Memorial in July.
"Lethal" Leigh Van Ginnekan and Justin Melton are keeping the XXX 600 mini sprint in winner's circle, with victories in the month of November. Melton won the Thursday night Winged 600 feature at Cowtown Speedway prior to the November Sprint Nationals. Van Ginnekan replicated his hot start from the 2008/2009 season in Australia by winning both of his heat races and the main event at Premier Speedway in Warnambool, Australia. Congratulations to both.
