LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The not-for-profit Good Times Quarter Midget Racing Association (www.goodtimesqm.com) of Madera, Calif., will host the annual Silver State Winternationals Dec. 4-6. Racing will take place on a temporary 1/20-mile oval constructed in the parking lot of Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in Primm, Nev.
More than 200 young racers – ranging from 5 to 16 years of age will compete in multiple racing categories throughout the weekend. The annual Primm event attracts racers from more than 12 states and Canada and is considered one of the premiere quarter midget events of the season.
Many of the top drivers in NASCAR and Indycar competition – including Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte and Jimmy Vasser – began their racing careers in Quarter Midgets.
Racing will take place from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Spectator admission is free.
