
With the All Star Showdown just around the corner, Alot of teams are scrambling to get their cars, teams and finances together to make the show. Local Driver Rip Michels is no different. One of the winningest drivers at Toyota Speedway in Just about everything from Modifieds to Southwest Tour, Late models and Superlates, This guy knows his way around the track.
Ron Nava from RPMTV spent some time getting to know Rip during the SRL Race of Champions this past September. " this guy is not only funny but extremely talented behind the wheel. We monitored his radioduring the race last time out, and he had the whole RPMTV Crew me rolling while we listened in". says Nava.
"After a brief conversation around Christmas time I found out he may not make the show. Like so many of usthe economy made our racing efforts limited, and Michels is no different. So I thought about it and spoke to Ripand tour idea was born."
RPMTV is going to follow and document Rips every move during the course of the days events at the showdown. This will include in-car audio, pre and post race thoughts and antics. Also 3 in car cameras as well as other views.This will truly be an insiders look at what its really like to race at this level.
