IRWINDALE, California — After partnering with Gilley's Treasure Island earlier this week, High Point Racing showed that they are ready to rock the Late Model feature of the Toyota All Star Showdown. Veteran driver and three time track champion in the Late Model division, Tim Huddleston will lead the field of 40 cars to the green flag in the 75 lap race televised Live on Speed Channel immediately following the K&N Pro Series main event.
On the outside of the front row, 2009 Speed Truck Champion Rod Johnson Jr proved that he can adjust to any type of car. The twenty year old didn't get much testing prior to this weekends event due to the rains that had blasted southern California over the past few weeks.
A pair of Gilley's Treasure Island hoods will start the main event. Its the perfect start to help launch the opening of the new country bar at the Treasure Island in Las Vegas, NV.
“We are really excited to introduce NASCAR to Gilley's. NASCAR fans certainly love their country music and Gilley's is the premier Bar and Saloon in Las Vegas. Now we'll set our sights on winning this race so we can go to Gilleys and celebrate!” Huddleston said.
