TWIN FALLS, Idaho — As the 2010 racing season approaches, Magic Valley Speedway is pleased and excited to announce an addition to the speedway staff. As the speedway launches into an ambitious schedule, long time Associate Promoter Terry Buell has agreed to join the speedway primarily directing sales and marketing as well as the fan experience. “I could not be more excited about this opportunity” Buell said. “This community (Twin Falls) and its race fans and racers are going to be thrilling to work with”. Buell’s reputation and experience means a lot to Track Owner Eddy McKean. “Terry’s ability to immediately fill the needs I have here at Magic Valley Speedway is a great relief and an exciting change going into the 2010 racing season”.
Buell’s resume includes nearly nine years as Associate Promoter at Evergreen Speedway. He also worked in Radio developing a Race Talk show that aired over two and half racing seasons. His announcing style has drawn good reviews from fans and has endeared him to many in the racing community. Working alongside the likes of Scott Ellsworth, Gary Cressey and Ron Bennet, Buell’s broad range of announcing experience has made him a unique and valuable part of the race programs that he has been involved with. His sales and marketing expertise has been honed through some of the Pacific Northwest’s biggest race events over the last decade.
Buell has spent time in broadcasting covering Sled Dog races and Snow Machine races in Alaska for KMBQ Radio Wasilla. Noted for coverage of the 1996 Millers Reach wildfire, Terry played an active role in field reporting with accuracy during the stations live broadcasts of the fire.
