2010 promises to be a busy and exciting season for young Camarillo, CA racer Lil AL Simpson.
13 year old Lil AL will split his time in 2010 between driving a USAC Ford Focus Dirt Midget for Kruseman Motorsports and an INEX Legends Car for ProRacing Specialties.
At the end of 2009 Lil AL was selected to take part in the Ron Sutton NASCAR Development Shootout. After impressing in the classroom and on the track Lil AL was offered a ride with the Ron Sutton USAC team for 2010.
“I really enjoyed my time with Ron and the team and was very proud to be selected from over 600 entrants for a spot on his team. However, we felt that the chance to drive for and learn from one of the top dirt midget drivers of all time was just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Everyone keeps telling me a season on dirt will only improve my car control so I’m really excited to be driving for Cory Kruseman and his team. I’m also really excited to be continuing my relationship with Brian Liberante and ProRacing Specialties. INEX have granted me an age exemption to race Legend Cars and its all down to the Bandolero wins I amassed while driving for Brian and PRS and I can’t wait to start racing with them for another season”.
The off season has also been a busy time for the business side of racing for Team Lil AL 31 Racing. The team is proud to announce the 2010 partners who will be helping to make this season possible.
AAMCO – Thousand Oaks, K&N Filters, CostLo Insurance, Quon & Associates CPA & PW3 Clothing have all joined the team for 2010.
Lil AL’s partners are planning some special promotions and events during the season. Kicking off the promos will be CostLo Insurance. After the opening race of Lil AL’s USAC season the first 10 people to call CostLo for a quote, mentioning Lil AL or Ventura Speedway, will receive a $10 Gas card.
”We’ve been watching Lil AL’s career develop and felt that now was a great time to partner with him as he moves to the next level of his development” Stan Rubin, CEO - CostLo Insurance.
“We had a great time watching Lil AL develop in 2009 and of course we loved the media attention we received from his efforts at the track. We look forward to continuing our relationship and having a great 2010 with him” Bradley Collins, CEO – Physcho Wear PW3 Clothing.
The recent wet weather in SoCal has certainly put a dampener on the testing schedule but it’s not dampened Lil AL’s enthusiasm. “I’m excited to have such great companies on board with us and I really appreciate their belief in me...now let’s go racing..” Lil AL
