Sacramento, California- Things have been in overdrive for Josh Combs since the Toyota Shootout in Irwindale. Following his series debut, Josh Combs turned a one shot opportunity to a full season in the K&N Pro Series West. This week Josh will be heading to Roseville California to attack the double header of the K&N Pro Series West and Spears SRL Southwest Series at All American Speedway.
Heading into round one of both series, Josh will be piloting the number “9” Ford of Bob Bruncati as well as the Walt and Glenda Combs owned Ford SRL Latemodel. Supporting Josh in his Rookie season in the K&N Pro series West will be GrapeKing, Giumarra Vineyards Corp, Green Frog Roasting, Green Frog Markets, Oakley, Ron’s Rear Ends, Lucas Oil and Sunrise Ford. Nineteen year old Combs will be concentrating on a Rookie of the Year run in the K&N Pro series along with capturing the Late Model Championship in the Spear SRL Southwest series. Looking forward to this weekend’s events, “I cannot wait for this weekend as both teams have been busy preparing cars for this hometown event. When we completed our SRL season last year the opportunity to move forward was an unknown, thanks to Bob Corsaro for providing this opportunity in the K&N Pro Series.”
Returning to the Spears SRL Southwest series with Josh will be crew Chief Dan Joiner and support from Joiner Motorsports. Dan has played a vital roll in keeping the Country Bear/ California Upholstery Ford at the top of the charts during the 2009 campaign. In the K&N Pro series West, Josh will be partnered with Bill Sedgwick and Bob Johns of the Sunrise Ford Racing Team.
