PAULIE HARRAKA LOOKING TO REPEAT VISIT TO VICTORY LANE AT ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY
An excited Paulie Harraka at the 2009 NASCAR West finale at All American Speedway

ANTELOPE, California — The first race of the 2010 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season will be at a track Paulie Harraka, driver of the No. 12 NAPA Gold Filters Toyota Camry knows well; All American Speedway. The West Series sophomore driver from Bill McAnally Racing won the 2008 NASCAR Whelen Late Model Track Championship at All American Speedway and went on to record a win in the 2009 West Series season finale.

"All American Speedway will provide the perfect opportunity to start the year off right. We’re going all out to win the West Championship this year and there’s no better way to do it than to kick the season off with a win."Paulie Harraka

The Drive for Diversity participant and 2009 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Rookie of the Year looks to make it two in a row. Harraka was recently the recipient of the 2009 Drive for Diversity Driver of the Year Award for a second time.

“I love coming back to All-American Speedway,” said Harraka. “The fans at AAS and in the greater Sacramento area are some of the most dedicated and passionate you’ll find anywhere. They’ve been a huge part of my career, including cheering me on (or booing me, depending on where they stood) to my first Late Model Win and NASCAR Championship, as well as my first West pole and first laps led in a West car.”

“We’ve found a lot of success there in both the Late Model and the NAPA Toyota. Each time we go, we unload with a fast Camry and just work on small details. That’s exactly what happened last year at both races. What’s funny is that I really didn’t think that my qualifying lap there last fall would be good enough for the pole and I told the guys that after my run. It just wasn’t that great of a lap. But when we did end up qualifying on top, I knew that we’d be really solid in the race. Plus, Crew Chief Duane Knorr and the guys did a great job of giving me a NAPA Camry that stayed with me all race long.”

“All American Speedway will provide the perfect opportunity to start the year off right. We’re going all out to win the West Championship this year and there’s no better way to do it than to kick the season off with a win. I’ve got a great BMR team around me, with very few changes from last season. What we have changed has only made our team stronger, with the additions of Devin Maxon and Rick Terry.”
