MODESTO, Ca — Coming off a fourth place run at Phoenix International Raceway in the K&N Pro Series race just last Thursday, Jonathan Gomez is ready to continue his busy 2010 racing schedule and experience the quarter mile at Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, CA this weekend.
"I have never been to the track and from what I’ve heard from competitors, it sounds like the track brings a lot of excitement to the fans and competitors." stated Gomez who will be back behind the wheel of his Heritage Cattle Company / Bob Strandwold Racing Chevrolet for Saturday’s SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour “Citizens Business Bank 135”.
At the SRL season opener, Gomez ran in the top five for most of the race until he lost electrical power and eventually finished eight after making a visit to pit lane for repairs.
Gomez is part of Bob Strandwold Racing with teammates, Auggie Vidovich of Lakeside, CA and Roseville winner Derek Thorn of Bakersfield, CA.
Gomez is sponsored in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series by United Oil Co., Heritage Cattle Company, Century Boatland, J&C Custom Harvesting and Gomez Farms.
