Speedmart night at Deming Speedway saw four first time winners grace victory lane. In the Advanced Toys for Trucks 1200 class, Eric Drake enjoyed an almost effortless ride en route to his first victory of the young season. Drake led all 25 laps of the feature, only taking on challenges after restarts. Aaron Fell took second with Steven Hendrickson taking third. Hendrickson was quick time. Heat wins went to Derek Holmwood, Clennon Holloway and Eric Turner.

Dustin O'Brien had an incredibly fast car in the feature for the Speedmart / PMP 600s, but it was a spot of bad luck for the leaders that put him in position to win his first feature of the year. JR Thomas and Rece Goetz were checked out, battling for the lead as they entered lapped traffic when a slower car spun in front of them, collecting both Thomas and Goetz and relegating them to the back. The lead went to O'Brien, who zoomed away from the field to collect the win. Second was Jake Benson, third Cam Smith. Heat wins went to Benson, Larry Jenne, Dale Schmidt and Tate Pazaski. Goetz set quick time.

In the Triple X Race Co 600 restricted class, Nate Vaughn ed all 25 laps to collect his first win of the year, holding off Jacob Brown for the duration of the race. Vaughn restarted incredibly well, varying his line and throttle pickup pints to keep Brown off balance during the caution filled feature. Liam Ryan followed up his win from last week with a third place. Heat wins went to Vaughn, Josh Lemley and Cory Samuelson. Quick time was Greg Hamilton.

The thriller of the night was the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprint feature, where Dylan Resch sliced and diced his way through heavy lapped traffic to take his first win of the year in the 15 lap main event. Resch was pressured by second place finishing Isaac Abenroth. Third went to Darius Walker, a career best finish. Spencer Constance was quick time. Heat wins went to Abenroth and Resch.

Pepsi night at the races kicks off at 6pm next Friday night with time trials for all four divisions at Deming Speedway. For ticket information, visit us online at www.demingspeedway,com
