MONROE, Washington — Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds is having their rendition of Cinco de Mayo on Saturday night May 1st. The night’s events will include a Mini-Van Soccer Game, Roll-Over Contest, School Bus Races, Boat Races, Renegade V-8’s, 4-Cylinder Car Demolition Derby and a death defying ‘Flaming Piñata Car Jump’. There will also be a special prize of a night in the VIP Suite plus 5 tickets at an upcoming event if you are entered into the special drawing. Those wearing a sombrero will be entered into the drawing for this grand prize.
The Mini-Van Soccer game is a first time ever event at Evergreen Speedway. It has been a long time since a 4-Cylinder Demo Derby has been held at the ‘Super Speedway of the West’.
Four crowd favorites are included in this special night at the race track. The season’s first Boat Race has been an annual crowd pleaser. Adding to the nights entertainment are School Bus racing and a Roll-Over Contest. Making their season debut will be the Renegade V-8 stock cars.
The most anticipated thrill show event of the season is the ‘Flaming Piñata Car Jump’. Thrill show veteran Josh Beckel will attempt to jump a car from ramp to ramp while going through a giant flaming Piñata attempting to land safely.
