NEW AND IMPROVED STREET STOCK CLASS CONTINUES TO GROW AT MVR

Being an outlaw track does have advantages, one of those is the this seasons revamped Street Stock class. With an impressive 14 car field, Chuck Morgan (53) debuted his Street Stock for the first time and drove right into victory circle. Morgan and Shawn Hanna (17H) kept the crowd on the edge of their seats as they diced back forth the lead in the early laps. After a yellow flag, Morgan regained the lead and continued to stretch it until the checkered flag dropped. Morgan was followed across the finish line by Hanna (17H), John Montgomery (5), Anthony Sturdivant (71), Danny Donahue (19D), Dale Daffern (49), Rickey Brabec (X7), Ed Ippoliti (47) and John Haller (33).

Attrition took its toll on the MiniSports with only three finishing. Austin Black took the early lead and looking like he had it all wrapped up until his #7 came to an abrupt stop on the front straight with three laps to go. He was able to get it re-started, but not before the yellow came out, sending him to the back. Charging hard, Black caught up to Robert Davis (21) who was leading and they were neck and neck across the finish line. The win went to Davis with Black right behind him, third was Ryan Wake (77).

Last weeks IMCA Modified winner, Bill Meyer (18) looked like we was going for it again, running hard with Jim Morris (15) for the first few laps, until Meyer's motor blew. Paul Hurns (3P) took the lead after the yellow and continued to put space between himself and the rest of the field. As Tim Gagnon (5G) moved into second, the real racing was between Steve Simpson (24) and Rick Durica (39) for third. Official finish was Hurns (3P), Gagnon (5G), Durica (39), Simpson (24), Ronnie Meyer Jr. (91), Jim Morris (15),

Making it 5 wins out of 6 starts races this season was Tanner Black (8X) in the Outlaw Karts. Black drove another flawless race followed by Tristan Montgomery (24), Shane Vasquez (88), Cameron Williams (48) and Tyiler Hiner (18) .

In the Bandit Karts, Austin Gardner (11) found his way back to victory circle when early leader Garrett Griffin (75) got tangled with the lapped car of Trenton Long (00). Griffin pulled it together and came back for second with Steve Simpson lll (13), Cody Milender (2X), Nick Wilson (11W) and Trenton Long finishing up the field.

Corey Freeman was in the right place at the right time in her 2d Mini Stock when leader Gordon Jones (69) and John Brancefield (7) got into each other on the back straight. Gordon made a quick recovery and came back to take third. Happy to pick up second was Donovan Wooten (3b) with Scott Kile (3s) fourth and Mason Geer (5) fifth.
