TOP-TEN FINISH FOR ERIC HOLMES AT IOWA SPEEDWAY

ANTELOPE, California — ‘Get in your rhythm’ was what Eric Holmes heard from spotter Clinton Cram as the green flag dropped for the Goodyear Dealers of Iowa “200” at Iowa Speedway. The driver of the No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing did just that as he brought home the NAPA Camry in tenth in a field of 44 racers. This was a combined event for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. Holmes finished in third of the West entries and moved into second place in the chase for the 2010 West Series championship.

"The next race will be at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon on June 5th. For tickets please visit www.douglascountyspeedway.com or call Bill McAnally Racing Promotions at 916-676-0256. "

Holmes qualified the NAPA Toyota Camry on the outside of row four. Holmes held on to a position in the top-ten for most of the first 75 laps. During the first caution at lap 22 he radioed in to crew chief Matt Goslant that the NAPA Toyota was ‘tight everywhere’. Under the third caution, the leaders began pit stops at lap 78. The team pitted more than once as per series rules of taking only two tires each visit and receiving fuel on a separate stop. The team also made some minor adjustments to help with the handling of the NAPA Toyota. With four fresh tires and fuel, Holmes restarted in 17th. Twenty laps later, he was once again back in the top-ten. At lap 147, Holmes restarted in fourth and would finish in 10th.

The Goodyear Dealers of Iowa “200” can be seen on Thursday May 27th on SPEED Channel 3 pm PST.

The next race will be at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon on June 5th. For tickets please visit www.douglascountyspeedway.com or call Bill McAnally Racing Promotions at 916-676-0256. The TOYOTA NAPA AUTO PARTS BONUS CHALLENGE "150" is the second event of the five race Bonus Challenge Series in which teams competing in the five events are eligible in sharing in more than $100,000 in bonus money being offered by Toyota and NAPA. Don’t miss all the action.

Holmes will be looking for his third consecutive win and fifth consecutive win for the NAPA car at the short track in Roseburg, Oregon. BMR has won six of the last eight visits to the Douglas County Speedway.
