5/19/01 -- Craig Raudman took the Bud Pole Award today for the Sunstate Equipment Company “100” NASCAR Southwest Series event at Pikes Peak International Raceway with a qualifying run of 26.87 seconds, per team owner Dave Reed.
This makes it four in a row for Raudman, who has set fast time this year at Cajon Speedway, Irwindale Speedway and The Bullring at Las Vegas Motorspeedway. The only other Southwest Series driver who has set fast time for four consecutive races is former champion, Lance Hooper.
Raudman missed setting a new track record for fast time for the event by a mere 4/100 of a second.
Eddie Hoffman and Greg Pursley qualified second and third fastest, respectively.![]()
