NO HAT-TRICK FOR RONNIE HULTS AS DAN SAVAGE RIDES 3 WIDE TO VICTORY

They raced fast, they raced clean, they raced THREE WIDE, but only one rode to victory. Dan Savage fought fierce, finding the fastest line around the oval with Ronnie Hults and Bruce Yackey hot on his heels.

Speedy's Autos Late Models

#08 Jace Hansen maintained a slight lead over #12 Bruce Yackey as they drag raced for the lead through 7 laps. Bruce Yackey took over the lead at lap 8 and moved way out in front of the pack. #42 Ronnie Hults was advancing on Hansen at lap 12 when a spin out toward the middle of the field brought on caution. Yackey and Hansen got ready for round 2 as they lined up for the double file restart. The action was intense as Yackey pulled into the lead. Hansen dropped back creating a window for #74 Dan Savage to take his spot behind the lightning quick Bruce "the moose" Yackey. Caution on the track with 14 to go and the field prepared to line up for another restart. Yackey had the pole with Savage on the outside, Speedy Ronnie Hults followed in 3rd with Hansen on his outside. After 3 laps of drag racing, Dan Savage had the lead by a nose over track champion Bruce Yackey. The drag race turned into a 3 way fight for 1st as Ronnie Hults pulled up between Savage and The Moose. The group rode three wide through turn 4 at lap 27. With one lap to go it looked like Yackey, then Hults appeared to be making a dash for the lead! But it was Dan Savage who crossed the finish line in 1st with Hults at his side in 2nd. Bruce Yackey took 3rd.

Pair-A-Dice Sportsman

#62 Jim Bob Rogers shot into a commanding lead at the start of the Sportsman A Main. #8 Jeff Walbaum stuck close behind in 2nd while a fierce battle for 3rd between #6 Tommy Roe, #99 Nick Brinlee, #84 Bruce Borchardt and #46 Blackie Blackard ensued. The top six, flawlessly navigated heavy, lapped traffic as they fought to maintain their positions. It wasn't until the 25th lap of the 30 lap main event that a lapped car got loose, bringing on a yellow flag. Rogers, Walbaum, Roe, Brinlee, Borchardt and Blackie Blackard brought it back together for a double file restart. Walbaum took the lead from the outside! The battle for 2nd between Blackie, Jim Bob and Tommy Roe was so tight you could've thrown a blanket over 'em. At the finish line it was, Jeff Walbaum followed by Blackie Blackard, Jim Bob Rogers and Tommy Roe.

Two Doors Down Figure 8s

#17 Harry Livermore Jr & #24 Joe Martinez moved to the front of the field from the get go. At lap 5, Livermore got into the wall going into turn 4, ending his night. Martinez took up the top spot with #23 BIG Al Duran lurking behind in 2nd. The action in the X was getting intense by lap 9. Joe Martinez continued to widen his lead, coming up on lapped traffic half way through the 20 lap A Main. With only two to go it looked like Martinez had the race in the bag. Sure enough, it was Smokin' Joe Martinez at the Checkered, followed by BIG Al Duran.
