VISION AIRLINES TEAM GRABS THE 6TH FEATURE IN 9 EVENTS AT IRWINDALE AND LAS VEGAN JUSTIN JOHNSON GETS HIS FOURTH AND EXTENDS HIS POINTS LEAD!

Vision Aviation driver Justin Johnson continues to roll at Irwindale winning both Main's this past Saturday Night.

"Justin "Just Win" Johnson swept both ends of the Irwindale Double Header this past Saturday and in doing so, made a statement - you're going to have to beat me to win the points championship! "

With Johnson's 2 wins Saturday, the Vision Aviation Team has now taken 6 of the 9 Pepsi Super Late Model Features this year and sits First and Second atop the points!

Toyota Speedway at Irwindale 6/5 - Jimmy Johnson refers to Charlotte Motor Speedway as "his house" and if Justin Johnson keeps on his present pace. he may be saying the same thing about Irwindale Speedway! Justin "Just Win" Johnson swept both ends of the Irwindale Double Header this past Saturday and in doing so, made a statement - you're going to have to beat me to win the points championship!

In the first Pepsi Super Late Model 40 lapper 18 cars were slated to start but past series champion and now Vision Air Competition Director Rip Michels opted not to start in the No. 90 Vision Aviation Ford. Pole sitter Travis Thirkettle led the first 15 laps and then dropped back with engine problems. Justin Johnson who also grabbed the fast time of the afternoon stepped in and led laps 16-40, winning by almost two seconds over his Vision Aviation teammate Dusty Davis, who started second in the No. 94 Vision Ford. Randel King finished third and Scott Dodd was fourth with Thirkettle hanging on for fifth. The 32 minute race had it's share of yellow flags with wrecks claiming several cars that would not return for the second Super Late Feature

The second Pepsi Super Late Model 40 lapper was clean and green for the 14 remaining cars. The second main was a fourteen and a half minute all-green flag sprint after a brief first lap restart. Starting second, Scott Dodd spun on the initial lap but returned to second for the complete restart. Fast Qualifier and Pole Sitter Justin Johnson kept his Vision Ford Fusion out front and won going away by a straightaway for a flag to flag statement race. After a tight, three-way scrum for second involving Dodd, Thirkettle and Davis that lasted for the first quarter of the race, Thirkettle took second with Johnson's Vision Aviation teamate Dusty Davis in third.

The Vision Team is now on a solid roll as they prep 2 cars for Johnson and Davis to make their television debut in the July 3rd NASCAR K&N West Series Race!
