ROSEVILLE, California — Bobby Grewohl owned the asphalt at All American Speedway in Roseville Saturday night, as he raced to his second consecutive Late Model victory in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series. Grewohl drives the No. 20 Pick-n-Pull sponsored Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing.

Grewohl raced No. 17 Jonathan Mawhinney side-by-side in the first few laps, but after that he distanced himself from the rest of the field and easily took the checkered flag.

"The car is good right now," Grewohl said. "We're not going to stop. We are just going to keep pouring it on and ride this wave of momentum all the way in."

Car owner McAnally said, "Grewohl is a heck of a driver and he is doing a great job for our team. He is definitely showing that he has what it takes. We are just as happy as we can be."

McAnally also challenged 2007 NASCAR Whelen Late Model champion No. 05 Eric Schmidt to come out and race Grewohl. "We’re hoping that we can get Eric Schmidt and some other guys out here and run with them. We are looking forward to that. That No. 05 is a goal for us. We want to beat him. We're calling him out." Big words from a big person in the world of motorsports.

IN OTHER AAS RACING NEWS: No. 3 Jim McGinnis won in the Bomber division; No. 08 Mickey Owens won his second consecutive Street Stock race; No. 33 Robbie Roy won in Baby Grands; No. 23 Tommy McCarthy won in Mini Cup.

Next Saturday, June 19, All American Speedway will host Whelen Night at the track with Late Model, Street Stock, Modified and Bomber racing.
