ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming – While he’s yet to win in the 2010 series, defending champion Justen Yea¬ger will take the point lead to this weekend’s EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West doubleheader at Sweetwater Speedway.

Yeager has finished no worse than sixth in any of the first half dozen IMCA Modified tour events held so far this season and will be considered among the favorites in both Friday and Saturday, July 16-17 shows. Yeager ran third and sixth in EQ shows last month at Battle Mountain Raceway to vault from fourth to first in the standings.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. both days at Rock Springs. Hot laps start at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. The feature pays $1,000 to win if there are 40 or more entries, $750 to win if there are 39 or fewer.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12, with five and under free. Family passes, good for two adults and two kids, run $20. Pit passes are $25.
