TAYLOR MIINCH SCORES TWO PODIUM RESULTS AT WSK NORTH AMERICAN SERIES

Miinch Motorsports driver Taylor Miinch had another dominant weekend at the WSK North American Series event at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey. After finishing a smart second place on Saturday, the Top Kart driver showed his true speed on Sunday after taking the prefinal and main event victories after starting from the tail of the field.

After being near the top of the charts throughout Friday’s official practice sessions, Miinch was ready for Saturday and the racing action to begin. First on the docket would be qualifying as Miinch and his tuner Steven Barros were on their game. Turning one of the fastest laps of the weekend, the California native scored the pole position and inside front row starting spot for the prefinal.

Miinch took the lead at the drop of the green flag and was determined to stay atop the TaG Senior division. After a hard fought battle, Miinch managed to take the win and keep his starting position for the main event.

Looking to have a perfect day, Miinch took the lead early in the main event but would fall back to the second position. With championship on his mind, the P1 Engines powered Top Kart driver would look to gain as many points as possible to help him in the chase for the championship. Driving a smart main event and using his head, Miinch finished in the second position and would look forward to Sunday’s on-track action.

“Saturday was a great day for us in regards to the championship,” explained Miinch. “We battled hard and were at the front of the field all day. I really wanted the win but didn’t want to take the chance of not finishing. I was second place in the points heading into the weekend and my goal for this year is the title so I need to race smart.”

Sunday would start out disastrous for Miinch as a motor problem on the first lap of qualifications would see the young talent unable to post a time. Starting the prefinal from the tail of the field, Miinch was poised and ready to go to the front, and go to the front he did. Matching some the quickest times of the weekend in the TaG Senior class, Miinch moved forward with ease as he took the lead in the final few circuits and scored the prefinal win. Along with finishing on top, Miinch would enjoy the benefits of starting from the inside front row for the main event.

If one word had to be used to describe Taylor Miinch’s final, it would have to be “DOMINANT”. The TaG Senior standout took the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back. Hitting his mark with each consecutive lap, Miinch went on to score another victory and close the gap in the points on his championship quest.

“That was awesome!” exclaimed Miinch after the event. “The kart was perfect, the motor ran strong and my tuner did an awesome job. I need to thank all my supporters and the people that have helped me this year. Also, a special thanks to the staff of the WSK North American Series and the New Jersey Motorsports Park facility for another awesome event.”
