The DAA Northwest Spec Motor Late Model Series presented by Sherwin Williams will be in the beautiful Lebanon Valley at Willamette Speedway for the fifth time this Saturday Night as the series makes their twelfth start of the year. All the top dirt Late Model Drivers in the Northwest will be at the fast 1/4 mile clay oval in Lebanon. Drivers competing in the series will compete for over $ 150,000 in prize and points fund money. The series will pay $5,000.00 to the 2010 Champion.

There have been five drivers who have picked up main event wins this year, current points leader Greg Walters leads the way with four wins, Jason Wines has won two, while singles have been won by Jerry Schram, Russ Sell, Billy Workman Jr and Casey Vitale are the latest two winners, Workman Jr. picked up the $3000.00 win at Banks on July 17th and Vitale who picked up the win at Grays Harbor Raceway on July 16th.

Walters from Banks continues to lead the point standings with 524 points, last year champion Jason Wines from Lebanon holds down second with 510 points. Many time Willamette Speedway Champion Russ Sell from Brownsville sits in third place with 496 points, Sell should be one of the favorites to take home the win Saturday Night. Three points separate the next three positions, Salem’s Brady Sell has 481 points, followed by Vancouver’s Jerry Schram with 480 and Scio’s Steve Moore with 479.

Other drivers expected to challenge for the win include Vancouver, WA. driver’s Jimmy Schram, Brandon Biffle, along with Brandon’s dad Jeff Biffle. Oregon drivers Billy Workman Jr, from Canby, Lebanon’s Brett James, Salem’s Terry Ferrando, and Britton Donahoo, Kris Pickle from Sweethome, the Trout brothers, from Banks, Bob and Doug along with Beaverton’s Brittany Ray.

The front gate will open at 2:30 pm, Time trials at 3:00 pm, with racing to start at 6:00.

The tracks include Coos Bay Speedway in Coos Bay, Oregon , Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington , Madras Speedway in Madras, Oregon , Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford Oregon, Sunset Speedway Park in Banks, Oregon and Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon
