MILLER AND SULLIVAN BATTLE FOR THE LEAD

Last Saturday night we saw Kaleigh Sullivan in the Jr. Jammers lead the first 8 laps; she was almost a half a lap ahead of the field until a caution came out for Deake Lyndall, who lost a tire on the back straight away. On the restart, Sullivan set the pace with Alisha Herron on her outside. The next caution was for Nolan Forsythe, who hit the turn three exit gate hard and had everyone in suspense waiting for Forsythe to get out of his jammer. When Forsythe appeared out of his car, you could hear the sigh of relief as the announcer let everyone know the driver was ok. Sullivan once again started the full field of jammers but had hard charger Caity Miller on her outside. Miller took over the lead, but Sullivan did not make it easy for her, lap after lap Sullivan was putting a lot of pressure on Miller, they even rubbed on the front straight away during the white flag lap. Miller took the white flag going sideways, Sullivan checked up, letting Miller straighten herself and the race was on with one lap to go. Sullivan did whatever she could, driving as hard as she could, but came up short. Miller won the Jr. Jammers feature. Following Miller were Sullivan, Jackson Long, Hayley Bishop, Herron and Forsythe. Winning the Jr. Jammers trophy dash was Long, with Miller winning the heat. During feature trophy presentation, Miller was quoted “Thanks to all the jammer drivers and crew for helping me with the car after crashing during hot laps!”
