BAKERSFIELD, California — The tenth anniversary season of the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series will finish in grand style at Las Vegas Motor Speedway">The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday night October 30th. Not only will the race be the longest in series history at 200 laps, the “RealFast.TV 200 presented by K&N Filters” will also be the richest, with $6,000 going to the winner.
“We have to thank the management of The Bullring and our sponsors, RealFast.TV and K&N Filters for their efforts on building this event to end the SRL season in a big way,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “The Bullring is a great venue for our series, Vegas of course is a great destination that our teams enjoy and the added support of K&N Filters, Hoosier Tire and SUNOCO Race Fuel all make for a great final event of the 2010 SRL championship.”
“We’ve always been big fans of the Southwest Tour. The SRL has some of the best short track drivers in the nation and we’re proud to once again be part of the championship finale at Las Vegas. The 200-lap event will feature a half-time break. Each team that makes the starting line up will be awarded two Hoosier Tires.
Defending SRL champion M.K. Kanke had this to say about the series finale. “The Bullring is an awesome venue for our series. Hoosier has a great tire for us, you will see the guys who play it smart will be charging to the front at the end of the 200 laps, no doubt it will be exciting for the fans.”
Currently the top four drivers in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship standings are separated by just 88 points after six of ten events. Derek Thorn leads the standings at 941 points, followed by Jonathon Gomez just 7 points back, Jim Pettit is 26 back of Thorn and Kyle Cattanach is 88 points off the lead.

The October 30th “RealFast.TV 200 presented by K&N Filters” will mark the third consecutive year that the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series has closed its championship at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
