FAMILY NIGHT AT THE SPEEDWAY: KIDS 15 & UNDER IN FOR A NIGHT OF NASCAR FREE! COOL AUGUST NIGHTS OF HOT NASCAR RACING

IRWINDALE, California — - Fans of NASCAR racing are invited to bring the whole family out to Toyota Speedway at Irwindale this Saturday night and skip paying for anyone in the party who s 15 years old or younger!

It s the Speedway s annual FAMILY NIGHT and the evening will be packed with upbeat entertainment that that s really GUARANTEED to knock your socks off as well as rock your world

Let s start with the super-hot Pepsi Super Late Models where the Boys from Glitter Gulch head up the points list as race 17 (of 19) will go into the books this Saturday night. Teammates Justin Johnson and Dusty Davis, as they have been all season long, lead pack with 764 and 700 points each. Johnson has won the last three races and looks very strong and Davis, who won race 11 and has had good finishes (but no wins). Fontana s Randel King has had a good season so far but his solid third in the points (678) is starting to be threatened by his neighbor from Rancho Cucamonga, Ryan Partridge s 656.

Of course when one mentions the King Taco Super Trucks there s no other name but the above-mentioned Ryan Partridge that flashes on the screen. He s 10 for 10 in the win column (and 9 for 10 in fast time-ins for qualifying). Partridge seems to have found the perfect combination in this highly-restricted spec class, this is race 11 (of a 14-race season) and the old don t talk about it (a no-hitter/perfect game) in the dugout rule is in effect in the Partridge pits. No one has ever done it at Toyota Speedway in 12 years and hundreds of yearly points chases Shhhhhhh.

And then there s the Ken Porter Classic Stocks with three races left in the 2010 season and three drivers all in contention for this year s title. The points are 390, 372, and 358, the drivers are Ken Michaelian, Mike Colato, Jr., and Harry Michaelian from Lawndale, Chatsworth, and Lawndale respectively. Ken s won five of the seven races run so far in the 10-race season but can t seem to shake Colato off his rear bumper. Meanwhile, the pride of Canyon Country, Terrible Tommy Mason, is hanging tough at 326 points in 4th and promising some surprises (?!!) for this week s important race.

And the Langer s Juice S2s are back and the point chase is about as close as it gets (2 points). Dylan Lupton from Wilton has 496 points after the first 11 of the 14-race series, with Roman Lagudi (Las Vegas) waaaaay too close for any sort of comfort at 494. The S2s are promoted as vehicles for close racing at a reasonable price, and they ve proven both points quite well this season. Meanwhile, David Busby (Laguna Canyon) has mounted a late season charge with his first win last race and has put himself into serious contention with three events to go. It should be noted that this son of legendary race driver Jim Busby came into this chase a lap down, not competing in the first Langers S2 race of the season.

The both of the Jan s Towing Bandoleros (Friday & Saturday) races at the Speedway will be scored as National Point Races, (no track points scored). This is one of those nights when coming out to cheer for the kids is an authentic kick in the pants. Be sure to get to the track early for the King Taco On-Track Autograph Party at 5:45PM to meet some of these youngsters For a real thrill (both ways!) ask a couple of them for their autographs and watch a young racer s face really light up! THANKS!

This is plush seats, delicious food, great company, and a spectacular view of the racing that almost puts you in the driver s seat. You ve simply never seen NASCAR from this angle. Imagine 20 snarling stock cars coming straight at you, slamming on the brakes, then clawing their way around the banking directly below you three and four wide, all trying to be the first to nail the throttle and rocket away toward the Start/Finish line. That s the view, every race, every lap, all evening long! This is where the track action is red hot!

Best of all, the Rooftop is exclusive and affordable. There s complimentary food and beverage service from 4 until 10PM. Why stay at home, when you can enjoy the races with one of the best seats in the house! And it s only $35 per person for a special night of unforgettable NASCAR.

Seating is limited (we ve only got room for about 80 special guests up there) so reservations are essential: call (626) 358-1100. There s also a full bar upstairs (of course alcoholic beverages are not included in the admission, sorry!). This is NASCAR luxury viewing with all the perks at a bargain price. We hope to see you and your party "UPSTAIRS" at the NOS Rooftop VIP Lounge this Saturday night!

By the way, the entire NOS Rooftop may be reserved for that very special birthday, corporate event, or block party. Contact Mary Gonzales at the Speedway (626) 358-1100 x 210 to book your (VERY) special night at the races
