
Sunday afternoon September 5th the Chowchilla Speedway will come to life with the best drivers in central California putting it all on the line in an attempt to win the three race Tri-Holiday LunkerDaddy Championship.
There are five different racing divisions competing for their own championships, they are the Modifieds, Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks, 4-Bangers and Dwarfs. In addition to the championship and the bonus money that comes with the title of Tri-Holiday Champion, drivers are competing for some of the biggest prize money of the year this Sunday.
In the first two LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday races thirty two different modified drivers have competed and it is Mitch Enos with a slim lead over Troy Foulger, Bob Williamson, Andrew Krumm, Jeff Streeter and Ray Mayer for the championship.
In the Super Stocks there have been fifteen different drivers compete in the Tri-Holiday Classic and it is Mike Shepherd leading with Steven Hannah, Chuck Crews, Donnie Shearer, Mike Calhoun and Chris Smith right on his back bumper for the championship.
The Hobby Stocks have enjoyed twenty three of the best hobby stock drivers found anywhere, and it is Ryan Larimer and Shane Hausmann tied for the point race in this battle for the title. Right behind that duo is Marshell Weaver, Robbie Laquaci, Shannon Marlow and Jarod Fast.
Twenty seven different 4-Bangers have taken the track during round one and two of the Tri-Holiday Classic and it is Flying Fred Ryland with a slim lead over Joe Willoughby, Paul “Mr. Smooth” Thornburn, Paul Espino, Adriane DeSousa, Jimmy Woods and Tim Elias.
In the Dwarf division Ryan Winter is tied with Ryan Diatte, followed by Josh Pires, Doug Martin, and Walt Hotchkiss.

The pits open at 1pm, grandstands open at 3pm, with racing beginning around 4pm. Adult tickets are $13, youth are $9, and kids five and under are free.
