BILL MCANALLY RACING MARKS ANNIVERSARY WITH NAPA BY ADDING TO SUCCESS. PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT DATE CHANGES.

ANTELOPE, California — As Bill McAnally Racing commemorates the 20th anniversary of its partnership with NAPA Auto Parts this season, it has continued to build on the success of its multiple teams in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.

BMR’s drivers and teams have already logged some major accomplishments in 2010, both on an individual basis and as an overall racing program.

BMR has won five of the nine series events run so far this year – with Eric Holmes in the No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota accounting for four of those wins. His victories followed Paulie Harraka’s dominant win in the No. 12 NAPA Gold Filters Toyota at the season opener.

Holmes – a two-time series champion – now has 13 career series victories on his resume. Coming off back-to-back wins at Montana and Colorado, he has taken a 114-point lead in the championship chase as he pursues a third series title.

Holmes’ most recent win came was part of one-two finish for BMR at Colorado, with Paulie Harraka finishing second. Their accomplishment was witnessed first-hand by 850 NAPA customers, store owners, and employees who were taking part in the NAPA hospitality at Colorado National Speedway">Colorado National Speedway.

BMR also had two drivers on the podium at Montana Raceway Park – with Homes being joined by Moses Smith, who came away with a season-best third-place finish in the No. 16 HASA Pool Products Toyota.

Even more remarkable as an organization was what BMR accomplished at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. – with all four of its teams finishing in the top 10. Harraka took the runner-up spot, while Holmes finished fourth and Smith was ninth. Brandon Davis, who is racing the No. 10 Applied Computer Solutions entry for BMR in select events this year, capped off the BMR effort by finishing third.

Despite BMR’s many accomplishments already this year, everyone there knows it’s too early for celebration.

“While we take a great deal of pride in our performance and what we’ve accomplished, we plan to finish the year strong,” said Bill McAnally, president of BMR. “We are still focused on several goals, including winning a fifth series championship.”

“We do want to take time, however, to thank NAPA and our many other great sponsors for their part in making this a great season in terms of BMR’s performance and accomplishments.”

All the BMR teams look to be in contention in the three remaining races – at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah on Sept. 12; at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif., on Oct. 16: and at Phoenix International Raceway, which has been moved to Nov. 13.

NASCAR recently announced that change, with the date of the season finale at Phoenix being moved from Thursday, Nov. 11, to Saturday, Nov. 13. The change will provide expanded exposure for the drivers, teams and sponsors in the series – with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race slated to take place following the NASCAR Nationwide Series event. In addition, a special “open house” on Friday, Nov. 12, will provide fans a great opportunity for a first-hand look at NASCAR’s top developmental series.

Wrapping up the season will be a special year-end celebration, the NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Awards Gala, at the Charlotte Convention Center’s Crown Ballroom in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday, Dec. 11. It will mark the first time for the top drivers and teams from NASCAR’s regional touring series to be honored in the Hall of Fame, which opened earlier this year.
