DAYTONA BEACH, Fl — Thursday, September 2, 2010) - Many ASA Member Tracks will be deciding their 2010 track champions over the Labor Day weekend. Here is a look at what is happening in ASA Racing this holiday weekend.
ASA PRO AUTO SPORTS
(Inde Motorsports Ranch, Wilcox, AZ)
After a hot summer break, the popular ASA-sanctioned road course series is back in action at Inde Motorsports Ranch, an ASA Member Track on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A great variety of cars will be racing.
ASA INTERSTATE RACING ASSOCIATION
(Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway, Beaver Dam, WI)
The fast 410 Winged Sprints will be in action this Friday night on the fast half-mile oval for the Stan Fox Memorial. This will be a great way for dirt racing fans to start off the holiday weekend.
ASA MIDWEST TOUR SUPER LATE MODELS
(Norway Speedway, Norway, MI)
Only two points separate Chris Wimmer and Steve Carlson in the standings with two events remaining on the 2010 schedule. One of those two will happen this Sunday night at Norway Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Norway, MI. Jamie Iverson will be looking for his fourth win in a row in the Labor Day 125 event. It will be a classic race with the Dickinson County Fair as its backdrop.
ASA MEMBER TRACKS
We here at the famous 4/10's are gearing up for the big Madhouse Modified Meltdown presented by Monster Energy and 103.3 WAKG on Labor Day. We're happy to announce that Burlington's Mason Lovette Band will be performing live during The Madhouse Modified Meltdown at Ace Speedway on Labor Day! BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY
Will be in action on Sunday night with the Grand American Modifieds, Sportsmen, Super Stocks, Mod 4's, Warriors, High Plains Modifieds, Mini Cups, and a Legends National Qualifier all in action. Racing gets underway at 6 p.m.
DELLS RACEWAY PARK
(Wisconsin Dells, WI)
It's a double header weekend. On Saturday, it's the 2010 Season Championships where champions will be crowned in all divisions. Plus, the Assembly Products $1,000 Shootout. On Sunday, it's the Labor Day of Doom with Drifters, Green Mamba Jet Car, Demolition Devil, Double Steel Wall Crash.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY
A great lineup of racing is scheduled this Saturday night. School Bus Figure 8's, Outlaw Modifieds, Magic 4's, Flyin 4's, Bombers, 4 cyl Figure 8's, 4 cyl Road Course, and Trophy Dash Cars will all be in action. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The 4th Annual Labor Day event will be this Monday night. The Late Models will have a 150-lap feature with a break at lap 75. The Chargers, Street Stocks, 4-cylinders, UCAR/Bombers will also be in action with a fireworks show. Qualifying at 4 p.m. with racing at 5:30 p.m.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK
Friday is Double Features for the Go-Karts for all divisions. Gates open up at 4:30 pm with practice from around 6-7 pm and racing to get underway around 7:30 pm. Saturday is Double Features for the Racecar Engineering Late Models only, making up a previous rain-date event. Also racing that night will be the East Bay Sprints, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers, PLUS it is also Sunshine Speedway Alumni night here at The Clay By The Bay... Grandstand Gates open at 5:00 pm with Hot Laps around 6:00 pm and racing to get underway around 6:30 pm. So come on out this weekend and get your racing fix here at East Bay Raceway Park.
GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY
Three big days of racing coming up. On Saturday, the Northwest Wingless Sprints & PHRA Dwarf cars will be in action. Front gate opens at 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, the ASCS Sprint Cars & Ford Focus Midgets will be competing. Front gates open at 3:30 p.m. Then on Monday, the World of Outlaws & Ford Focus Midgets will be racing. Front gate opens at 3:30 p.m.
HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The 2010 Season Championships are this Friday night. The Late Models, Modifieds, Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will be in action. Plus, Powder Puff Races. Grandstands open at 6 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m.
The Speedway will be taking a break for the fair on September 4th. Racing will return on September 11th with the Grand American Modified Classic.
ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
It is Season Championship night this Saturday night. Champions will be determined in the Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Turbo Stox, Pure Stocks, Legends and Bandoleros. First race at 7:00 p.m.

LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY
The 2010 Monster Energy Chase for the Cup at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway is coming down to the wire with several tight points battles to be decided on Saturday night. Saturday night will also be Teacher Appreciation Night, with free grandstand admission for all teachers on Saturday night. Gates will open at 5:00, hot laps at 6:00 and racing at 7:30. Grandstand tickets are free for all teachers, $10 for adults, $6 for juniors (ages 11-15) and free for kids 10 and under. Admission to the Budweiser Wild Side is $12 for adults, $7 for juniors and free for kids 10 and under. There is a $2 military and senior citizen discount for seniors 62 and over.
LONESOME PINE RACEWAY
Join us Saturday Sept 4th for Alpha Natural Resources / Back to School Night at the Pine with free school supplies for the kids. The Late Models Chargers, Street Stocks, Mod 4's, Pure 4's and Renegades will all be in action. It is also double points night!
MADISON INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
The 2010 champions will be crowned this Friday night at Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile. The Late Models will have a twin 40-lap feature event. Pit gates open at 3:30 with hot laps at 4:45, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:30.
Emotion and adrenaline are working overtime Labor Day weekend at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway. The big boys return Saturday night for one of the final races on the Carbon X Rocky Mountain Challenge Series late model tour with the Pepsi Gem State 75. Also on the card Saturday is the Austin Christopherson Memorial 50 for the Domino's Pizza Legends, another pivotal points race in the ESI Express ASA Modifieds, the Mini Stocks, Tates Rents Hornets and the Spectacular Drags for fans itching for track time. The excitement level doesn't dip for Sunday night's Tates Rents Fan Appreciation Night agenda, though, as the Mtn. Dew Winged Sprintcars, the Pepsi Sprintcars, the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving School Street Stocks and the Thunder Dogs hit the track. The season's final Westby's Bike Race for Kids also is scheduled. Gates open each night at 4 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available at 17 NAPA Auto Parts Stores in the Treasure Valley, eliminating the need to stand in line on race night. Saturday's admission is $12 for adults, $9.50 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID and $8 for children ages 7-11. Sunday's ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and military, $6 for ages 7-11. Children 6 and younger get in free both nights.
The annual Eve of Disaster is this Thursday night. On Sunday, the ASA Midwest Tour will be in action with the Labor Day 125. The Norway Speedway Street Stocks, Slammers and Fab 4's will also be in action. Qualifying at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m.
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY
(San Bernardino, CA)
Orange Show Speedway will kick off an exciting September schedule this Saturday (September 4) with the Super Late Models, Team Too Pony Stocks, Pick-A-Part Street Stocks, Interstate Batteries Factory Fours, Budweiser Legends Cars, Tour Trucks and M.C. Erectors Bandoleros. Reigning champion Mark Shackleford took a nibble off Davis Ross's lead in the Super Late Models standings, but still is 28 behind with just two races left. The Factory Fours have the most interesting battle going, with reigning champ Dwayne Blay and Kim Marzullo tied for the third time this season and two races to go. Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. PDT with the first race at 7 pm.
RED RIVER SPEEDWAY

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS

Rocky Mountain Raceways, an ASA member track, is set to host a full weekend of racing with ASA Weekly Racing on Saturday, September 4 and Dooms Day Trailer Races on Monday, September 6. Young Automotive Sprints, Super Stocks, Ford Focus Midgets, Hornets, Figure-8 Cars and Western States Equipment Figure-8 Trains will hit the track on Saturday, September 4. As the Young Automotive Sprints wind down their season, Jimmy Waters has a 2 point lead over Jimmy Wysong. The two have been battling all season and showing race enthusiasts what open-wheel racing is all about. Rocky Mountain Raceways will host the wildest day of racing on Monday, September 6 with the Dooms Day Trailer Races. Participants will tow their crazy contraptions around the figure-8 course and the racer that has completed the most laps intact will claim the checkered flag. Best Design and Masters of Disaster will also be awarded. Gates open at 4 p.m., qualifying begins at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Adult admission is $15 on Saturday and $12 on Monday. Youth admission is $5 on Saturday and $10 on Monday.
SHANGRI LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Shangri-La II Motor Speedway will come back from an open weekend at the end of August with two important September racing events. On Saturday night, September 4, "Labor Day Under Fire" will provide fans their second opportunity of the summer to see a complete ASA Member Track stock car racing program at the Concrete Castle and a jet car drag racing exhibition at sister track SkyView Drags for a single price.
The 2010 invasion of the World of Outlaws at Skagit Speedway! Two nights of the World's Greatest Show on Dirt! Kinser, Schatz, Lasoski, Saldana, Haudenschild, and many more invade the famed 3/10th mile oval. Gates open at 5:00pm, racing at 7:00pm
SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY
The "Lon Skinner Memorial" King of the Dirt Coors Light 100 is this Saturday and Sunday. Be a part of this prestigious modified event. Grandstands open at 4:00 p.m. with races starting at 6:00 p.m.
STATE PARK SPEEDWAY
Will be back in action on Thursday, September 9th with the Race for the Cure 75 Super Late Model feature event.

VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway will host WIGO Championship Night this Saturday September 4th. It will be the last point race of the season for all four of the track's Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series divisions. The night's activities will include the Victory Lap Late Models, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modifieds and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars in Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action. Competitor gates for Saturday, September 4th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 6pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm with hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday September 4th: Victory Lap Late Models (35 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps); and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars (20 laps). All divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features. Adult admission is just $10, Senior $8, Military $5, Students 13 -17 yrs old $7, Children 7 - 12 yrs old $4 and Children 6 and under free.
This Sunday & Monday, Sept 5-6 of Labor Day Weekend will be Championship weekend at Wilmot Raceway. Sunday will be the final points night in Wilmot's 5 respective divisions; Goodyear Sprints, Don's Auto & Machine / Bassett Hound Modifieds, R.A. Adams Enterprises Street Stocks, Fec's Place Mini-Sprints, and Wilmot's own Fearless 4's. Monday will be a race day at Wilmot featuring all divisions but Sprints. Full purses will be paid on Monday, just no points. Monday would be a points race if Sunday were to rain-out. There will be bonus to high point winners in all divisions over the two days.
Two nights of racing is on tap this weekend. On Saturday, the Super Late Models, Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Youth Hornets, Hornets and Bump to Pass in action. On Sunday, the Super Late Models and Bump to Pass will be in action plus season championships for Sportsman, Pure Stocks and Hornets.
