
The Pink Show celebrates women and the people who love them as they battle cancer.
(Madera, CA) On Saturday night, September 18th, as part of the popular Harvest Classic, Madera Speedway General Manager Kenny Shepherd invites the community and race fans alike to come and show their support for women fighting cancer as they host their Harvest Classic and “The Race for the Cure”.
The track opens at 5 PM and ticket prices are only $20. The race track is located on Highway 99 and Cleveland Avenue. The race will feature the pink “Race for the Cure” 410 Super Modified race car owned and driven by point’s leader Jim Birges.
According to Madera Speedway General Manager Kenny Shepherd, “We at the Madera Speedway are very proud to support the Pink Show and what it does for women fighting cancer. We see so many strong women in racing that are the cornerstone of race teams, and we are proud to support the Pink Show as they seek to help local women battling cancer.”. The Pink Show will be held at the Tower Theater on Saturday, October 22nd, beginning with a silent auction at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be available for sale this weekend during the Harvest Classic at the Pink Show Booth.
The 5th annual event will benefit the Me-One Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization and "Camp Challenge", a free weekend vacation for cancer patients and their families. Camp Challenge brings the focus of life, joy and laughter back to the forefront of those who have been hit hard by this disease.
According to the Pink Show founder Cynthia Manuszak, “We are so appreciative of Madera Speedway and their help with our effort. Race fans are very special people who really support their community”. Manuszak added, “This year, The Pink Show will be showcasing some amazing local talent including Patrick Contreras, Lance Canales, Steve Ono and David Aus.”
This year’s event will feature special guest Ray Appleton and Stefani Booroojian as mistress of ceremonies.
