TOUR CARS AND FIREWORKS, MEMORY MAKING TIME AGAIN!

When most any person thinks back to their youth there is a memory about a carnival with cotton candy, or a ride, or a side show that sticks in the mind. Or perhaps the memory of a race event, or an Evil Knievel jump, or some other wonderful thought that has lasted a lifetime.

Fans will be treated to a memory making event this Saturday night the 25th of September as the Madera Speedway plays host to the Spears Southwest Tour Mid Valley Iron & Steel 125 and fireworks show.

In addition to the Mid Valley Iron & Metals 125 Spears Southwest Tour race and a huge fireworks show, it is also Championship night at the Madera Speedway! This is the last race of the season for all of the local classes.

Matt Erickson is the point leader in the LunkerDaddy Late Models, Don Selsor is holding off Chuck Agiurre in the Hobby Stocks, Donnie Large Leads both the MST and Toyota Sedans, and Miles Humphries holds the lead in the 4-Banger class.

The local main events will take place first, then the lights will go out for a huge fireworks show! Just after the fireworks the Spears Southwest Tour stage will roll out and the stars of the tour will be announced.

Jonathon Gomez from Twins Falls Idaho has a small lead in the points over California’s Jim Pettit, and with just three point races remaining the competition will be fierce.

The field is loaded with standout drivers and some names to look for are former NASCAR star Auggie Vidovich, Dave Byrd, local star Justin Westmoreland and Ross Strmiska, 2009 National NASCAR Rookie of the year Jacob Gomes, Dan Holtz, Brennan Newberry, M.K. Kanke, the most winning driver in touring history, and certainly Eric Holmes the NASCAR K&N Series point leader.

The Spears Southwest Tour is the West Coast Series that launched the careers of NASCAR Superstars Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Ron Hornaday. The hottest racing talent on the West Coast can be found in the Spears Southwest Tour Series, come out and see the next racing superstar, before they are a superstar!

The Spears Southwest Tour MidValley Iron & Metal 125 lap race, and fireworks display! September 25th is a night to bring the family to Madera Speedway and build a memory for life!

Practice begins at 12:30pm, local qualifying around 3:00pm, racing begins at 3:30pm for local classes and the Southwest Tour qualifies at 6:00pm, with all main events following. Don’t miss this huge day of racing and a fireworks show!

Adult tickets are $20, with discounts available for families, military, seniors, and students. Children under five are free!
