BAKERSFIELD, California — “The Dominator” Brad Pounds drove his ON-IT CHASSIS to it’s 8th IMCA Win of the season at Bakersfield Speedway and won the 2010 Bakersfield Speedway Track Championship. “The Dominator” started the race 4th on the grid for the restart, after a car spun during the first lap of action. He battled through the field and on p 12 he took the lead. Pounds then went on to win the race. All Pounds had to do was start the race to win the championship. This is “The Dominators” 130th career main event win. This is Pounds’ first Track Championship at Bakersfield Speedway.
Brad Pounds builds and designs his own chassis and sells them out of Scott Pounds Racing's’ shop in Bakersfield, California. He and his father started building the ON-IT CHASSIS during the winter and have been doing research and development during the 10 Season. Larry Hood drives their house car and is in the lead for points at Victorville Auto Raceway with one race left to run. Brad Pounds also ran a Super Late Model twice this year finishing 2nd and 3rd.
Brad Pounds has been racing since he was 14. He has driven Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, IMCA’s, and Super Late Models. He started his career in the Hobby Stocks at Bakersfield Speedway with a win by his 4th race. Scott Pounds was the 1994 National IMCA Champion and owns Scott Pounds Racing.
