Ryan is headed to North Carolina for this year’s Driver for Diversity combine October 17-19th. He is one of 30 handpicked drivers to try out for the 2011 program with Revolution Racing. “What an honor and perfect way to cap off a great season. This program offers such a great opportunity and I can’t wait to get there.” – Ryan
The Drive for Diversity program is in place to help with the development of minority / female drivers and crew members. The combine will be held at the Motor Mile Speedway in Virginia approximately 2 hours north of Charlotte. 30 drivers will participate in a 3 day evaluation both on and off the track. A panel of industry experts will select 10 drivers to relocate to North Carolina to compete in an academy-style program. Revolution Racing located in Mooresville, NC fields 4 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and 6 NASCAR Whelen All-American late model teams under the leadership of veteran racer Andy Santerre. Revolution Racing is owned by industry moguls Max Siegel and John Story.
Ryan travels to the east coast after wrapping up a successful season: Becoming the youngest winner in Super Late Model (SLM) history at Irwindale Speedway and the 2010 SLM rookie of the year. To add icing to the cake Ryan’s best friend, Dallas Montes, has also been invited to this year’s combine. Ryan and Dallas are just one week a part in age, they have grown up and raced together their whole life.
