ALPINE, California — Karting champion Taylor Miinch of Alpine, California makes his Late Model debut with an entry in this weekend's Las Vegas Bullring Fall Classic. Piloting the #03 Position One Motorsports / C-ME TRIM / Championship Karting International (CKI) Chevrolet, Miinch feels confident about his debut in the seat of the #03 after a full year of competition in the ASA Truck Series this year.

Miinch, finished the 2010 ASA (American Speed Association) Truck Series season third in final point standings driving his #20 CKI / Christian Stover Foundation / Alpinestars / King Taco Chevrolet Colorado truck along with finishing second in a highly contested 'rookie' battle. Taylor Miinch wants to thank Kevin Clark, Jeff Grill, and Brent and Dominick Adams for their help this year with his truck program.

Position One Team Owner, Luis Martinez quoted "I'm very excited to finally have the opportunity to work with Taylor. We have kept a close eye on Taylor's development since his cadet years in karting, and we think that us teaming up will continue to help his career in Stock Cars. Drivers from different parts of the country come to do this race every year and it has become a year-end favorite for the two-day event."

Future plans for the 16-year old include running the #03 Position One Motorsports / C-ME TRIM / CKI Chevrolet in the California Classic November 27 at Toyota Speedway. A very important race, as this will be in preparation for the prestigious NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown January 29-30, considered the ‘Daytona 500 of short-track racing’. The event includes two nights of Late Model action under the lights for bragging rights, as the winner can consider himself or herself the best among the best.

The Position One Motorsports 2011 stable will also include Rod Johnson Jr., the 2010 Auto Club Late Model Champion. "RJ, who came from winning a championship in the Late Model Division at Toyota Speedway, is coming on board to race in the Super Late Model Division with us and will be Miinch's teammate," said Martinez.

Miinch won the CKI Florida Cup Tag Sr Championship this year and was runner up in the CKI Tag Championship last month in Las Vegas.

Taylor Miinch and Miinch Motorsports would like to thank the following Sponsors, Companies and Associations for their sponsorship and support in 2010: CKI (Championship Karting International), C-Me Trim Company, Christian Stover Foundation, Trenz Apparel, King Taco, Alpinestars, Crystal Cleaners, Jon Dell Construction, VP Racing Fuels, Grand Products, Top Kart, Charlie’s Hub Caps, Motul Oil and Image on Trak.
